I realized this morning as I was sipping my cappuccino that there's a definite pattern in my mornings. Sure this is probably true for most people. This morning as I sipped and checked my email, I looked up at my 3 year old and I realized how much I truly enjoy my mornings.
A typical morning for us starts out at about 6:30 am for Parker and I. When we come downstairs, I immediately put CMT on the television! Parker goes straight into his swing (which I know he is growing out of but I just can't part with it yet). Preston joins us at around 7 am. Preston immediately disrobes, because apparently clothing is just too much for this 3 year old at 7 am! Preston enjoys a bowl of "Cocoa Puffs" and I make my cappuccino with 2 shots of espresso, which I desperately need because aside from my 6:30 am wake up call I was also up at 3:30am to make a bottle for Parker! Typically from 6:30 till 8 am my boys are being serenaded by their crazy mom when my favorite songs come on. We are usually all on the couch changing the channel to Disney or Nickelodeon by about 8am!
What more can a girl ask for?! A content baby in a swing, a 3 year old in his underwear (eating my favorite childhood cereal), a delicious cappuccino (with hardly enough caffeine to get me through the morning), and country music playing in the background. Looking around this morning I just felt so blessed. Its about 8:15 am now, and blogging has made me tardy for my cartoon couch date with Preston and Parker... so I shall go! I wish everyone a wonderful morning!

Only another mother could understand the sentiment of this post. I loved it-it remided me that I need t oslow down sometimes and enjoy those little moments that will be gone too soon. Preston and Parker are lucky to have you for their mother.
